Children have dreams also.
During the numerous story-time and literacy presentations I have done, many school-age children would approach me and express their dreams of being a published author.
They wanted to experience making their dreams become a reality when they were still young.
And I agreed with them!
Hence the birth of our “Children’s Writing Workshop”.
We have already assisted over 50 children, ages 7-13, with their dreams.
Here is a brief course outline instructed in our workshop:
• Learn the steps required to write and illustrate a 24 page picture storybook.
• Develop ideas and topics.
• Make a “dummy” (model) book.
• Learn all the steps required in getting your manuscript published.
• Learn marketing strategies; take part in practice sessions on “how to sell”.
• Learn how to handle money from sales of published books.
Finished illustrated stories will be published by Daisy May Publishing and will include 4 FREE books to the author.
New workshops starting soon!

Comments by children; ages 7-13:
"I think the workshop was awesome, especially if you like to write as
much as me and have a passion for writing. It was very fun. I think
Pauline is the best teacher in the ENTIRE universe."

Izzy ~ January 2010
“I think that the workshop was fun and well prepared. I like how the course was flexible so that it helps you in places you need it. I also liked how there is time set aside just to work on your book. I liked how we can do it our way, and no one was telling me how to write and draw it. Thank you! It was a fun and new experience that I won’t forget.”
~ Moira ~ January 2009
“The workshop was really fun! I love the workshop! I want to come back next year.
Thank you for helping me”
~Amanda ~ January 2009
“I loved this experience. Everyone has always told me that I should publish a book but I thought I would be an adult. This program allows you to start your dream as a child.
Thank you so-o-o-o much.”
~ Courtney ~ January 2009
Comments by parents:
“AMAZING is a word that best describes Daisy May Publishing, the Creative Writing Workshop for Kids and of course Pauline, for whom this would not be possible, without her vision, passion and love for kids and writing.
Pauline inspired each child, encouraging them and making them feel confident in their writing abilities. She spurred them on to express and explore their “creative juices”, walking them through each step to producing and publishing wonderful books.
What a tremendous gift and blessing you are to our up and coming generation!"
~ Mrs. Robin Youngren ~ 2008
“My daughter attended the Children’s Writing Workshop in 2007. She is diagnosed with ADHD, therefore it is hard for her to focus on most tasks. Pauline Cormier managed to capture her attention and guide her through the process in a positive manner.
I appreciate the love Pauline shares not only through her workshop but also on a continual basic as she gives them opportunity to do books signings and spend a little more quality time with her.
Pauline doesn’t do this for profit but for enjoyment of sharing what is so important in her heart, which makes her one of the richest people I know.
So many thanks Pauline, for sharing your love of literacy and opening your heart to all children that you take under your wing.
~ Tracy Griffin ~ 2007
I can't give enough praise for Pauline's writing workshop! My daughter
has always wanted to be an author and Pauline helped her dream to come
true! I've never seen Izzy so excited before as she waited impatiently
for Saturdays to arrive so she could attend the workshops. Pauline has
a real gift as a teacher and her love for her students absolutely shines
through, Izzy adores her. Izzy gained so much knowledge and confidence
in her writing through taking this workshop.
The final product of a
published book at the end of the course was the icing on the cake. Pauline definitely went above and beyond any expectations that I had of
her and was willing to drive over an hour to attend Izzy's book signing
here in her own hometown. Whether your child already has dreams of
becoming an author, or they just need some encouragement to develop
their writing abilities...you won't be disappointed! I would highly
recommend this course to absolutely anyone!
